GEORGE HENRY BROWN

Obituary:

George Henry Brown, 87, Cambridge, passed away April 1, 2000, at his home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Thomasen Funeral chapel, Weiser. Burial will follow at Hillcrest cemetery, Weiser.

Henry was born Aug, 9, 1912 in Weiser, Idaho, the son of William Thomas and Susie Anna Lanning Brown. He grew up on Mann Creek near Weiser. He married Gertrude Boles, Oct. 27, 1935, Weiser, Idaho. The couple lived and ranched on Mann Creek, working for several of the local ranchers. Since the early 40's, they have lived and ranched in the Cambridge and Indian Valley area. He was a cattle rancher for most of his life and also worked for the U.S. Forest Service.

His wife Gertrude passed away Jan 10, 1976.

Survivor's include three sons, Jim Brown and Don Brown both of Cambridge, and Bill and his wife Bonnie Brown, of Caldwell, Idaho; two sisters, Goldie Mann of Weiser, and Edith Bain of Potlach, Idaho; nine grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

The family suggests memorials be made in his name to the American Heart Association, 270 S. Orchard, Suite B., Boise, Idaho 83703 or a favorite charity.
