Lewis Clouden Boles, 71, Ontario, Oregon, died Jan 24, at St. Lukes Hospital,
Boise. He was born April 10, 1910 at Fairview, Montana, the son of Harry Frank
Boles and Jennie Lulu Stoughton Boles. He was reared and educated in the
Fairview area. He moved to Newburg, Oregon when he was 17, then to Idaho one
year later. He was married to Mildred Schwartz on Jan 30, 1937 in Boise. He
farmed in the Indian Valley area for many years. He was elected County
Commissioner of Adams county in 1969. He retired form farming in 1970 because of
ill health. The couple moved to Ontario in March 1981.
He is survived by his Wife Mildred, Ontario; three daughters, Sylvia Jones of
Boise, Doris Anderson of Nampa and Joanne Fry of Council; one son Marvin,
Spokane, Washington; two sisters, Louise Nelson of Newburg, Oregon and Clara
Monson of Millville, Utah; two brothers Harold Boles of Mann Creek, and Wayne
Boles of Indian Valley; 10 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two infant children and one sister.
Graveside services for Mr. Boles were conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday at
Hillcrest cemetery, Weiser with the Reverend M.M. Matlock officiating, under the
direction of Thomasen's Northam Jones funeral home. The family suggests that
memorials be made in his name to your favorite charity.
